Acomplia Approved in Brazil for Sale

ANVISA, The Brazilian health Authority has approved Diet drug Acomplia/Zimulti for sale in Latin America’s largest country. Formal Announcement by Sanofi regarding this was done on April 26th.

Brazil approved Acomplia for use along with diet and exercise for the weight loss and for obese patients with BMI more than 30 or overweight patients with BMI more than 27 with associated risk factors, such as type 2 diabetes.

Two large countries where Acomplia is sold are Argentina and Mexico and now Brazil has joined them.

One of the European country Netherlands has become the latest country to reject insurance reimbursement for patients purchasing Acomplia Diet Pill.
Acomplia was classified as a life style drug by the German State Insurance System and rejected reimbursing patients. The French government has agreed to provide partial coverage to those patients who are obese not only overweight and obese people who have type 2 diabetes.
