Blauvelt doctor receives $59,000 grant for menopause research Nov. 07, 2006 A medical researcher from Rockland has been awarded a grant to continue her work of trying to understand the role that a region of the brain plays in women undergoing menopause. Dr. Genevieve Neal-Perry, who lives in Blauvelt, was given a $59,000 grant last week from the American Federation for Aging Research, a New York City-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing biomedical research on aging.
